So my main fault is procrastination i guess thats the teenager still coming out in me. As grown up as i might seem i am no where near to being a grwon up.
paper 3 seems pretty hard. im starting to see why he said not to pick a group you are close with.
but i am going to try my hardest to bring you guys all the info i can about teenage moms.
Teen mom is no longer airing now its just 16 and pregnant so ive decided i will report on teen moms i know in person. and i will start looking up statistics about girls and how they feel about being protected.
any ideas?

teen mom
So the last episode of Teen mom aired last tuesday this tuesday will be the talk show with Dr Drew
If you didnt see you alot happened. Catelynn and Tyler got to see their baby and they stay very strong threw the whole thing. Farrah like always argued with her mother over something.
Maci came to terms with Ryan about the extra day she relized she cant have bently all of the time and that Ryan deserves same amount of time that she has too.
All tho i love the show i think its about time that they stop filming these girls they should of kept with their original plan of one season 16 and pregnant and one season of teen mom for each girl.
Maci, Catelynn, Farrah and Amber all just need to start living normal lives off the television. maybe they will be able to get thiings straight. A new season of 16 and pregnant starts this or next tuesday i believe.
Well on brighter side one of my friends babies finally turned one. this past week and like most babies on their 1st birthdays he was a crab!

Baby "DADDY' Drama
So this past week consisted of helping my best friend figure out what she is going to do with her situation.
My best friends since 2nd grade found out she was pregnant when she was 16 we had our babies 3 weeks apart and for some reason it made us closer than ever.
Recently she found out she was pregnant with her 2nd child but this time not by her 1st kids father.
they had broken up , for the amillionth time, over trust issues with him and she was really good friends with this one guy and one thing led to another . well turns out 4 weeks later she was pregnant. an back with her 1st kids dad better yet ENGAGED
she told the one guy we will call him jack for privacy issues and he said you need to get an abortion my parents will kick me out and dissown me, hes 21, he told her how no one would want her if she kept this baby and said she was ruining his life for he was going off to georgia for college.
basically this guy is a jerk .
well she is keeping the baby but is raising it with her first kids dad he somewhat knows, hes not the brightest apple from the tree, but yet again my best friend gets a message from a random girl saying.
"i was fooling around with your boyfriend if you dont believe me he took me back to you apartment and i broke my nail its still on the floor. "
first off ew why didn't she throw it away? anyways supposdly kyle her 1st kids dad told this girl that he was currently broke up with my friend but she decided to message my friend after he said they were getting back together. but my friend was soo upset because first off thats her apartment and kyle was spost to be watching their son while she was at work. but come to find out he picked up their son from daycare just a little later. kyle denys it all and told my friend that she is psycho.
but what do you tell your 18 year old best friend to do in this situation, she thinks she needs to marry him in order to take care of both kids. i told her she can do it on her own . but anyways just figured i would tell you guys about my weekend.

this weeks episode of teen mom & my thoughts on the today show
so i know im behind on this post so i want to apoligize for that.
so to start i just finished watching a rerun on the popular t.v. show teen mom. on the show Maci finally moves to nashville to be with her childhood friend and new found love kyle , farrah reaches out to shophies dads family because she needs someone in his family to do a DNA test so her baby can get the money she deserves, amber and gary fight like always, and catelynn and tyler deal with tyler's dad being in jail still.
their sturggles seemed harder than ever, and i know they are all true ive seen many of these struggles in my friends lives and yet to see more. which i will go into in another blog.
as i was watching this i saw a comment thread more like a chat room off to the side where people are supposed to talk about the show, were they doing that? of course not.
in the chat room they were all putting down this 12 year old, who turns out to have made it all up, for having a baby at her age. other people chimed in talking about how having a kid a 16,17,18,19 even 20 is bad. how especially at 12 she was sooooo wrong for what she did and how they would kill their children is that happened. how they were all better parents because their kids would never sleep around ever!!
I couldn't understand how all of these people could be so mean to a perfect stranger. so i commentd " why udge what has happened has happened she will hear from her own mother what she needs to hear she doesn't need strangers being so cruel everyone makes mistakes all they can do is go on with their life"
now don't get me wrong I don't believe that having a kid under the age of 22 is ok. I think everyone should wait. but life does happen. i mean look at me i had a baby at 16 years old. it was unplanned unthought of. but life happens. ys
as for the today show i agree with catelynn and tyler completly, i mean you guys tell me what you think but does yelling , physicalabuse, custody battles, heartbreaks, being scammed, being alone, crying babies at 2am till 5am or later sound glamourous to you??? i mean yes parenthood has its perks but teen mom hardly shows them if you ask me . i believe the point of teen mom was to get into younger childrens heads that yes having sex does have negative effects the only true way of not having a kid is to not have sex. teen mom is showing the struggles that young moms go threw everyday. if someone can think of how this is glamorous i would love to know.

My permission letter
Dear Mr. Nadziejko and fellow students,
Today i am asking permission to follow a particular group of people, that group of people would be teenage moms. To me teenage moms range from age thirteen to nineteen years old. In Belleville Illinois about a dozen girls who went to Central Jr. High became pregnant in their teenage years. I believe that teenage moms can be a subcoulture because no matter how old now all teenage moms have a familiar bond,most teenage moms get together and become friends because of the familiar bond. Many places that moms get together are WIC, parks, grocery stores, monkey joes, and chucky cheeses.
I am not sure if they would consider themselves a subcoulture but I am willing to find out how if they could be considered a subcoulture. I am going to do this by talking with some of my friends who also became teen mom like I did, watch the show Teen Mom and discuss with my friends weither they think Teen mom relates to "normal" teen moms whose life is not on blast threw T.V., I will also research websites like itsyoursexlife.com, and other sites that try to help teen moms. I will also go into adoption and see if i can find a mom who gave a child up for adoption, interview with people whose childs fathers haven't been so much help compared to ones who have, and lastly I will talk with a few older women who became teenage mom and talk about the differences back then to now. Anyone could say that teenage moms have their own language but it is as normal as any moms language they say stuff like buh-bye, potty, ba-ba, and poopoo. Anyone can say that but once you become a mom it is not only spoke when you talk to the children but it become part of your speech to friends. I am very fasicinated by this group because I do have a connection with teenage mom since I became a mom at sixteen. I believe that this group is very safe and very much legal. I want to show the struggles of this group , how they overcome the hardest obstacles, and what they are all about. I know a good amount of teenage moms in the belleville area most of them are still teenages others are grown women in their twentys or fourtys, they will let us know how much this subcoulture has changed in the years.
I will be able to view this subcoulture on a weekly basis I am going to observe how they act, dress, work , how much they work, who they have watching their kids, if family helps, what kind of assistance that they get, if they plan to marry or have more children, and if they believe that they are a subcoulture. I would love for this to be approved so I can show why and how teenage moms are a subcoulture.

Hello Everyone
My Name is Caitlyn Hicks, Formally Sutton, I am 18 years old. I have one daughter her name is Serenity May she is 15 months old and the apple of my eye. she was born on May 8th 2009 at 11:03pm. I am married as of July 24th 2010 to my High school sweetheart named Corey. . I currently work for Bel-O Sales and Service, basically there I answer phones and enter invoices into the computer. I’m hoping that after I take my state test to become officially certified as a CNA that I will be able start working as a CNA as pursue my dream to become a OBGYN. Originally I am from Beaufort, South Carolina I moved to Illinois when I was eight years old and in the second grade I am now from Belleville Illinois and a graduate from Belleville west high school. I graduated from there early so I could start my college career sooner and be ahead. I am planning to become an OBGYN by the age of thirty two. I am currently enrolled in English 102 which is why I am creating this blog. This is my third semester in SWIC I am trying to get an associates in fine arts and then later get an bachelors in human biology.
